POLICIES FOR PUBLISHING BOOKS WITH SPOUT

Strong Manuscript is equal to robust fountain of much cherished imagination and experience.

We work in two ways.

1. As publisher,

2. As Associates.

1.a. Traditional Publishing: We like your submitted Manuscript. We select that for publishing. We do your editing, illustration, book design. We publish your book. You get 10% Royalty. Our first trial print run is pegged at 100 copies to assess the market for the title. Once inventory needs restocking, we go for larger second print-run. Text rights are yours. Publishing rights are with us generally for two years. Then we renew the agreement. ISBN included.

b. Hybrid Publishing: We like your manuscript. We do your editing and book designing. You are free to choose illustrators and cover artists, however our tastes should match. We produce your book, you buy a large portion of that print-run. Publishing-rights acquisition for two years, no renewal of existing agreement in general. Text rights remain with you. ISBN provided.

2. As associates: We do your editing, book designing, illustrations. You pay us. We retain the copyright over your book design & illustrations including the cover art. No ISBN included.

COPYRIGHTS AT SPOUT BOOKS

Trust Us with Your MS

We are happy to let you know that we acquire only the Publishing Right of your MS in printed or e-book format, in the given language, initially for two years or so, depending on the type of agreement.

This means, the Text Right remains with you, in turn you are free to give the same text to anyone within the contract period, for Adaptation Rights and Translation Rights. They can make movies, come up with audio books etc.

What they can not do is circulating the same text in typed format, this includes books, softcopies etc.

Any third party is strictly prohibited from copying, circulating, referring, and/ or projecting anything from the book that is developed by us, without our permission.

However we are awfully friendly people and we believe in free access to knowledge.

You buy our books via manual payment, provide us your contact information, whatsapp number/ email ID while paying, we ship 'free of shipping-charges' via India Post under 'Book Post, containing printed books' category with or without Registration Service applied as per the Item Description. We provide you the registration ID via the contact information that you had provided while shopping. Now, you can track your shipment in India Post Website.
